Peppermint Espresso Martini

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Espresso (cooled down) or strongly brewed coffee 2:1 coffee/water ratio
  • 1 oz tonic water
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup unflavored
  • tsp peppermint extract
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 oz half and half
  • crushed peppermint candy for rim
  • chocolate syrup for rim
  • chocolate bar shavings for garnish

Method
 

  1. Rim your glass with chocolate syrup and then roll it in crushed candies. Chill in freezer.
  2. In a shaker, combine the peppermint extract, simple syrup, tonic water, vanilla extract and espresso. Shake for about 30-40 seconds.
  3. Pour into chilled glass.
  4. Pour the half and half into the glass and gently stir. Garnish with chocolate shavings.

Notes

If you’d like, drizzle chocolate syrup along the inside of the glass prior to putting the glass in the freezer.
