Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Ruby Grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz Agave nectar
  • 3-4 oz Grapefruit sparkling water
  • sugar and salt for rim 2:1 sugar to salt ratio
  • 2 slice lime

Method
 

  1. Combine salt and sugar on a plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of a glass and dip the rim into the sugar/salt combo. Set aside.
  2. In a shaker or another glass, shake together the grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave until fully dissolved.
  3. Fill your rimmed glass with ice and pour the juice mixture over the ice.
  4. Top with the sparkling water.
  5. Add the lime wheel as garnish and serve immediately while the bubbles are crisp.

Notes

  • 2:1 sugar-to-salt ratio is a wonderful way to cut the tartness of the grapefruit.
  • You may use Kosher Salt or Coarse Sea Salt according to your preference.
  • Agave can be replaced by honey or simple syrup.
